College Masterplan
Our vision for Viewbank College is to ensure that students have access to an outstanding learning environment.
The College has a number of priority areas for development or redevelopment over the next decade.
This includes a new Gymnasium, new General purpose building and a new STEAM Centre.
Aim:
- Two court indoor sports courts; community space for up to 14 hours a day/weekends
- Community sports hub- possible tenant Banyule Hawks; multi-use space for hire
- Probable capital cost dependant on size- between 12-18 million dollars
- Size dependant on site and co-contribution to developing the project
Aim:
- A new Admin building would lift the front of the College.
- A single-story complex could cost approx. $5 million, depending on size. Two story building could be developed on the site of the current administration block.
Current Administration building is old and not a welcoming entrance to the College.
Relocatable classrooms (R1-R11) currently used as a year 7 area are functional, but some of the relocatable classrooms are 40 years old.
Aim:
- Update the Art and Tech spaces in existing areas, which are run down.
- Create multi-use spaces that provide a cross-curricular approach to design thinking.
- Use old gym and redevelop to create maker spaces, systems technology hub.
College Building Fund
The Viewbank College Building Fund is a voluntary tax-deductible contribution that plays a vital role in improving our school facilities.
The College would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank those families who have already contributed to the Building Fund this year.
Your generous donation will contribute greatly to support our Masterplan.
In the past Building Fund donations have supported various improvements throughout the school such as the installation of heating/cooling, internal/external painting, and upgrades to learning spaces.
Recently, funds have been used to support the development of our VCE Study Centre, a purpose-built space for our Year 12 students to study, gather and collaborate during their final year at the College.
To make a taxable deduction donation to our Building Fund, see link below.
All donations big or small are tax-deductible and very much appreciated!
